Faro Mirador: Velo Rosa in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Faro Mirador: Velo Rosa is a playful device for framing the landscape. The proposal begins from the understanding that the site occupies a privileged position overlooking the iconic Lake d’Annecy from within the forest. This condition calls not only for respecting the natural beauty of the setting, but also for framing and enhancing the view itself: a place to pause, converse, share a glass of wine, and, above all, observe.
At the same time, the project explores the possibility of introducing a playful, almost performative gesture with a bold and distinctive character.
This is where our coloured viewing device comes into play: a translucent veil of Mexican pink that bathes the surroundings in a chromatic atmosphere while allowing the structure to remain visible from afar. In this way, the lookout becomes, simultaneously, a lighthouse.
The project therefore proposes a minimal yet expressive intervention: a meeting point that intensifies the experience of the landscape through colour. A small lighthouse in the forest, inviting visitors to pause, look, and rediscover the lake through an unexpected filter.
This project was developed as an entry to the Festival des Cabannes.
