Vive le Vin Hotel and Residences, Espírito Santo
The “Vive le Vin” project, located in Pedra Azul, Espírito Santo, Brazil, encompasses a total area of 11,300 m². Nestled in the mountainous region of Espírito Santo, Pedra Azul is known for its extensive Atlantic Forest coverage and cool temperatures, providing a serene and lush backdrop for this residential condominium.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the project offers units that can also be available for hospitality purposes. It features 34 residential modules, each containing two, three, or four apartments with one or two bedrooms, all strategically positioned to harmonize with the site’s natural topography.
Our interior architecture work involves the comprehensive development of the design for all common areas and the apartments that will be available for hospitality. These spaces include the lobby, spa, pool, bar, restaurant, emporium, a space for wine clubs, taste room, library, coworking area, and residential modules with one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
Our design approach began with an in-depth exploration of current behavioral trends, utilizing platforms such as WGSN to ensure our project aligns with contemporary consumer expectations and lifestyles. Once we defined the trend pillars, we materialized them through their connections with the local culture of the project site. We focused on two primary behavior trends: localism and the era of creativity.
Localism is embodied through the element of wine, reflecting the region’s cultural significance as one of Brazil’s top per capita wine consumers and its rich history of wine-related events. From this pillar, we developed spaces inspired by the atmosphere and lifestyle of wine, reinterpreting typical elements of wineries, such as gabion walls. The shape and colors of wine barrels were reimagined in the interior architecture, creating a unique and evocative environment.
The era of creativity is showcased through the works of three local female artists who created exclusive pieces for this project. These artworks are integrated throughout the design, featuring in metal mesh architectural elements, wall installations, tapestry, and external sculptures. This blend of wine, art, and design creates a distinctive environment.
