Building C1 completes an arc of buildings that run along Alte Potsdamerstrasse.
The principal materials for the facades are terracotta tiles and glass.
The facade utilises a double curtain wall operating system, combining of transparent and opaque surfaces. These respond to the external environment but also to the personal needs of the occupants. The natural cooling/heating system reduces primary energy consumption by 50% compared with normally air-conditioned buildings.
