‘The Great Build’ Banner design
The theme for this year’s Awards ceremony is ‘The Great Build’.
Five previous Award-winning designers (B3 Designers, Biasol, Finch Interiors, Keane & Mizzi Studio) are teaming up with their preferred fit-out partners and created a huge 3D Tapestry with a theme of ‘Celebration’ which will be revealed during the evening.
With the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards celebrating its 10th year, each of the five designers has two numbered spaces to design.
Junction Studio has designed the banner covering the five amazing designs for this year’s reveal, with large format print specialists, Macroart responsible for the printed Tapestry.

2018 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards – The Great Build
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony at London’s King’s Cross on 4th October 2018.
To celebrate the tenth year of the Awards, five previous Award-winning designers (Biasol, Keane, B3 Designers, Mizzi Studio and Finch Interiors) team up with their preferred fit-out partner to create a huge 3D ‘Tapestry’ with the theme of ‘Celebration’ which will be revealed on the night.
Build partners include: Embassy, Firecracker Works, Fabrico Interiors, Falcon UK, Harper Signs, Opus, Technical Arts & PHD Group.
Restaurant & bar partners so far include: Near & Far, The Coal Shed, No. 29 Power Station West, BEAR and Kettner’s.
This event is strongly focused on innovation. The Awards ceremony is attended by over 700 of the most influential architects, designers, lighting designers, and restaurant & bar operators involved in the creation of amazing food and beverage spaces.

Restaurant & Bar Design Talk @ 20 Stories (Manchester)
Simon Spiteri (Project Director, DesignLSM) and Des Gunewardena (CEO, D&D London) talk about the creation of Manchester’s highest dining destination – 20 Stories (Manchester).
The discussion will focus on the delivery and implementation of the design concept developed by New York’s Cetra Ruddy and the challenges DesignLSM had to overcome in the delivery of this iconic rooftop restaurant and bar. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

2018 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards Shortlist
Now in its tenth year, the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is a globally recognised competition dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces.
Entries from over 70 countries cover every imaginable hospitality space; From ships to airports, museums to burger vans, from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups. Past judges from hospitality, design and lifestyle media include Tony Chambers (Editor in Chief of Wallpaper*), Alberto Alessi, Marcus Wareing and Thomas Heatherwick.
The Shortlist
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards announces the shortlist from the 2017/2018 entries. The shortlist includes 257 projects across 34 categories from the world’s leading architects, interior designers, lighting designers and restaurant and bar operators.
The winners of the 2018 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards (including Best Overall winners) will be announced during a ceremony at London’s King’s Cross on the 4th October.
