Hamburg, 20th September 2017 – In the first year of the AIT-Award submissions from 47 countries were handed in. The AIT-Award, first launched in 2012, instantly became one of the largest competitions for architecture and interior design worldwide.

For the fourth time the architectural magazine AIT is launching the international Award and ties in with the successful competitions of the years 2012, 2014 and 2016.

AIT-Award 2018

The AIT-Award „Best in Interior and Architecture 2018“ is divided in twelve different categories. All types of buildings and interior spaces, built in the last two years, can be submitted.

The international renowned jurors, Nicole Kerstin Berganski (NKBAK, DE-Frankfurt / Main), Manuelle Gautrand (Manuelle Gautrand Architecture, FR-Paris), Ludwig Kindelbacher (landau + kindelbacher Architekten Innenarchitekten, DE-Munich), Chris Middleton (Kinzo Berlin GmbH, DE-Berlin), Much Untertrifaller (Dietrich Untertrifaller, AT-Bregenz), Monica von Schmalensee (White Arkitekter, SE-Stockholm), Cino Zucchi (Cino Zucchi Architetti, IT-Mailand), Kristina Bacht (AIT-Dialog, DE-Hamburg), Frank Busch (Artemide, DE-Fröndenberg), Hans-Jörg Müller (Gira Giersiepen GmbH & Co. KG, DE-Radevormwald), Petra Stephan (AIT-Redaktion, DE-Leinfelden-Echterdingen), Joachim Zerfass (dormakaba, DE-Ennepetal) will be assigning the AIT-Award, a 2nd + 3rd price as well as special mentions in each category.

The Award ceremony will take place on the 21st March 2018 at the Light + Building in Frankfurt. All awarded projects will be presented within the context of the award ceremony in an exhibition at the Light + Building from the 18th to the 23rd of March 2018 in Frankfurt. Afterwards, this exhibition will move on to our AIT-ArchitekturSalons. A documentation of the prize winning projects will be featured in an AIT-Dialog special issue.

Projects completed after the 30th of June 2015 can be handed in by their architects and interior designers until the submission deadline on 3rd of November 2017. A maximum of three projects per entrant may be submitted in one or more categories. There is no charge for entering the competition.
