Olivier Touraine is a French architect and has taught in Paris, Los Angeles and currently at Columbia University in New York.
Deborah is a California-licensed architect and instructor in Los Angeles, and has taught architectural design and theory at the Art Center of Pasadena and SCI-Arc.
Touraine Richmond designs have been published in The New York Times, Architectural Record, Dwell, Architecture and Le Moniteur-AMC. They have participated in group shows in Paris, London, Glasgow, Berlin, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
Established in 2012, Deborah Richmond Architects (DRA) is located in Venice, California. With over a decade in the field of architectural practice, DRA brings a broad range of experience in conceptual thinking, international project management and a network of established collaborators within and outside the local building community. DRA offers a highly sophisticated conceptual approach, based on a working knowledge of minimal and conceptual art and many years of applied inspiration to diverse building practices.
The architecture practice blends these factors into strong, conceptual statements that reach beyond the confines of traditional architectural processes. Working with highly respected conceptual thinkers in engineering, landscape and other design disciplines, our practice carries forward this highly collaborative approach to the local building community in and around Los Angeles. Our projects have received design awards and research grants for architecture, urban studies, art installation and photography.

Oak Pass House in Beverly Hills
The Oak Pass Main House sits atop a 3.5-acre ridge site with panoramic canyon views. The property’s topography and landscape, which most notably include over 130 protected Coast Live Oak Trees, were the primary drivers for the house’s design.
