Kraft Architecture working with Mike Hyatt Landscape Architects has been shortlisted for the Robin Hood Gardens Competition 23 Jun 2008
The architecture competition is part of an ongoing campaign to save the landmark Robin Hood Gardens Estate designed by architects Alison + Peter Smithson.
Robin Hood Gardens was a residential estate in Poplar, London designed in the late 1960s by architects Alison and Peter Smithson and completed in 1972.
In August 2017 demolition started on Robin Hood Gardens, the post-war housing estate in east London designed by exponents of new Brutalism, despite years of campaigning from architects and heritage bodies.
In November 2017 the V&A’s decision to buy and display a three-storey piece of Robin Hood Gardens was criticized.
