This US architects practice was selected by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Public Works to design the Los Angeles Police Headquarters Facility.

The new 500,000–sqft Police Headquarters Facility will be located across the street from City Hall in downtown Los Angeles and includes below-grade parking for 700 cars.

Facilities include areas dedicated to police administration and investigative operations ; large assembly areas including a Police Commission hearing room, conference center, Compstat Command Center, a 200 seat cafe and a 450 seat auditorium.

Integrated into the design are generous public spaces, civic plazas, gardens.

Responding to the City of Los Angeles’ goal of sustainable building practices, various sustainable building elements are incorporated into the new Police Headquarters Facility and upon completion a LEED™ Certified rating from the U.S. Green Building Council is expected.

LA River
The LA River is a peculiar and unique space with tremendous urban and architectural potential for Los Angeles. While nothing more than a trickle in its original and natural form, the river currently provides an industrial and infrastructural conduit that cuts through the city from downtown LA to Long Beach.
