The restaurant’s commitment to quality and excellence is evident in every aspect, from its meticulously prepared dishes to its attentive and knowledgeable staff.
What is the project overview?
“Sushi Ichi” has been in operation for eight years, during which a number of operational and spatial challenges have emerged. In the wake of the pandemic, shifts in guest behavior and broader societal changes have made it clear that the restaurant must reconsider the role and function of its space. In response, and in line with the owner’s vision, a renovation project has been initiated to create a more comfortable, sustainable, and future‑ready environment.
Guest preferences and motivations have evolved, and the rise in inbound demand following the pandemic has highlighted the need for a space that can accommodate a more diverse clientele. At the same time, the surrounding Nishi‑Azabu area continues to change, making it essential to maintain the restaurant’s appeal and competitiveness. By updating the design to reflect the current era and improving comfort for both staff and guests, this project aims to address existing challenges at their foundation. Through this renewal, Sushi Ichi will evolve into a space where the owner, staff, and guests can all feel at ease, positioning the restaurant for long‑term success in its next chapter.
