Architect: STUDIO TWIST. The Library of Kunming University of Science and Technology is regarded as the symbolic center of the university campus.
The building form resembles stacked cubes on a plinth with bi-axial symmetry and a vertical central atrium. The central circular atrium serves as the spiritual center as well as the main vertical circulation of the library.

Architect: Mazzanti Arquitectos, Bogotá, Colombia. This stunning building is located on one of the hillsides of the city that have been affected by harsh violence since the 80´s because of several drug traffic networks that operate within its perimeter.
It is part of the government’s social master plan program that aims to give equal economic and social opportunities to the population.

Danish schmidt hammer lassen architects and New Zealand based Architectus have won the commission to design the New Central Library in Christchurch, New Zealand. The new library, which will be up to approximately 12,000 square metres, will be one of the anchor projects in the Recovery Plan for the city of Christchurch after the damaging earthquakes in 2010 and 2011.

It is about providing a cultural and documentary service of quality and also materialising the image of the regional community.

James B. Hunt Jr. Library

Design: Snøhetta with Clark Nexsen: this new building serves both as NC State’s second main library and the intellectual and social heart of the university’s Centennial Campus. The Hunt Library also houses the Institute for Emerging Issues, a think tank led by former North Carolina Governor James B. Hunt, academic offices, visualization and digital media labs and an auditorium.

Conceived as infrastructure and landscape, the building is the first museum to achieve LEED Gold Certification ranking in Florida and is one of only three children’s museums to be LEED Gold certified in the United States. The building recently won the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida/Caribbean 2013 Vision Awards Project of the Year.

The MacOdrum Library at Carleton University has re-opened following an extensive renovation and expansion that adds new program areas and doubles the amount of seating to accommodate 2,000 students.

The renewal of the 1960s-era facility brings daylight deep into the core of the building through a five-storey, fully glazed façade.

The project on the north is Columbia University’s Manhattanville expansion. For an alumnus of Columbia College Class of 1969, the Piano project is literally a mind blower.
