Design: OMA, architects. £110m flagship cultural building wins Planning Permission: the city’s cutting-edge arts venue aims to take a radically new approach to cultural production and performance.
Conversion of a 500-year-old palazzo in the heart of Venice into a Benetton ‘megastore’ by OMA. The Renaissance building, known as the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, overlooks the Grand Canal and the city’s famous Rialto Bridge.

The new building design stems from both an understanding of its role as a civic building in a historic European capital city and its need to respond to the requirements of a twenty-first century museum.
Architects: West-line studio. Danxia landform is a unique red rock landscape located in southern China. Chishui Danxia, in the north of Guizhou province, can be classified as ‘young Danxia’, which is one of the most impressive phases.
Architects: West-line studio. The cultural center is located in Chetian Village, in the Guizhou province, in South-West China. The village has more than 400 years of history and is famous for its ‘stone houses’ built with local materials.

The Zhuhai National Park is located in the region of Chishui, in Guizhou province, in South-West China. The 10,000 hectares park is characterized by the unique presence of the so-called Bamboo Sea.
Design: OMA. A cultural center building to bring enlightenment to a new development in this famous Florida resort city, for Argentinian hotelier and developer Alan Faena.
Design: Architects of Invention. The LANDSCAPE BUILDING idea was conceived as a gentle exchange; it is a terrain in itself. The building uses every aspect of its construction for navigation and art exhibition. The roof slopes are pedestrian walkways and they form a sculpture park.
Design: REX, architects. Forming a curatorial unity with the Mies van der Rohe-designed Neue Nationalgalerie, plus new administration, art storage, café, education/art appreciation spaces, exhibition spaces, media/event space, restaurant, restoration areas, and shop.
Design: CEBRA Architects. An ambitious cultural project in Northern Sjælland in Denmark: a 3,000 sqm cultural building located on an island in Hundested harbour.
Architect: Architectural Design & Research Institute of Scut. This is a poetic sanctuary that shows people both the Islamic culture and vision for a better life.
Design: VOLTOLINI architectures sarl & Jean Paul Chabbey architectes SA. A building for “events and spectacles”. Held in between two concrete blocks, the lobby and main hall open up towards a perspective of the valley. From the interior the windows frame the contours of the Alpine landscape.
MVRDV with Zhubo Architecture Design win the architectural competition for the Xili Sports and Cultural Centre: the project seeks to transform the lives of people through offering a more humanistic model for sports and culture.
Design: Rubin & Rotman Architects. This building has the mission of transmitting the traditional Cree culture it draws upon to future generations. The building’s concept turns to the classic architecture of the Cree people’s traditional longhouse, the shaptuan, and to the particular context of the village of Oujé-Bougoumou.
Design: David Rockwell, Architect – Centre of Civil and Human Rights is a new purpose built museum in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, that tells the parallel stories of both the Civil Rights movement in the USA and also the global story of the Human Rights.

17.000sqm cultural centre in an old ship yard. It contains concert halls, public library, showrooms and conference rooms. The design won an open international architecture competition. The building is adjacent to Danish Maritime Museum by BIG and Kronborg Castle immortalized in William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet.
Design: Zaha Hadid Architects. The International Culture & Arts Centre embodies a unique variety of civic nodes and spaces: A Grand Theatre, a Contemporary Art Museum, a Multipurpose Hall and supporting facilities.
