The building is located in Onehunga overlooking the Manukau Harbour and is the home and studio for an artist.
Onehunga is a suburb of Auckland City in New Zealand and the location of the Port of Onehunga, the city’s small port on the Manukau Harbour.
This award-winning house sits majestically on a north sloping section with a dramatic outlook to Hobson Bay, in Auckland, New Zealand.
The black timber house is situated beside a rocky outcrop at the eastern end of Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island. It is dug into the base of a steep slope and partially tucked behind a mature Pohutukawa tree.
The house for a family is situated on a quiet street in the inner Auckland suburb of Herne Bay. Honed concrete blocks, dark stained timber and white pre-cast concrete have been combined in an intensive sculptural composition that has a sense of permanence and craft.
This family home is a contemporary country house and is located in grassy fields at the edge of a steep gully. The house and the landscape are designed as an integral whole.
