Architecture competition-winning design for extension and refurbishment of the Vendsyssel Hospital: the building seeks to enhance the overarching architectonic identity of the hospital and to inte-grate buildings and landscapes in various ways, including a rooftop children’s oasis.
Design: Herzog & de Meuron. The hospital is surrounded by nature and contains a garden in its center. The horizontality of the building and its undulating form responds to the location of the hospital in the midst of the wide Danish landscape

After four years of construction, the “House of Music” in Aalborg, Denmark was ceremoniously opened on March 29, 2014 by the Danish Queen Margrethe II.
This cultural centre was designed by the Viennese architectural studio Coop Himmelb(l)au as a combined school and concert hall: its open structure promotes the exchange between the audience and artists, and the students and teachers. “The idea behind the building can already be read from the outer shape. The school embraces the concert hall,” explained Wolf D. Prix, design principal and CEO of Coop Himmelb(l)au.

The new education centre for VUC Syd in Haderslev, Denmark, has no traditional classrooms. Instead, it appears as a vibrant and visually engaging educational environment, in which group areas, presentation spaces, dialogue cubicles and quiet zones allow for a more diverse approach to education.
Modern Seaweed House on Læsø
On the small island of Læsø in Denmark, a several hundred-year-old building style has formed the basis on which a new holiday house has been built – the Modern Seaweed House.
The main, and largest building, in the town is Sorø Klosterkirke – Sorø Abbey Church. It was founded by Danish archbishop Absalon and built by Cistercians in the period from 1161-1201
