This family house, built on the walled site of a former taxi garage, is almost entirely hidden in the middle of a Victorian block in Chiswick. The approach is via a covered passage, beyond which is a brick-lined front porch.

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Awards Jury selected Bosco Verticale, Milan, as the “2015 Best Tall Building Worldwide” at the 14th Annual CTBUH International Best Tall Building Awards Symposium, Ceremony & Dinner held at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.

The Structural Awards 2015 winner news: celebrating amazing engineering
These awards, which recognise outstanding achievement by structural engineers from all over the world, are organised each year by The Institution of Structural Engineers.
WAF 2015 Overall winner. The Interlace, a vertical village in Singapore, has been crowned World Building of the Year 2015 at the World Architecture Festival. The residential development, designed by OMA/Buro Ole Scheeren, is a radically new approach to contemporary living in a tropical environment.
Praemium Imperiale Architecture Laureate 2015. Architect Dominique Perrault “steeps himself in the history, environment, and special local nature of the construction site. His innovative buildings are designed to blend into the environment without spoiling those features.”
