To present the Edificio POD on Rebouças, a mixed-use building signed by FGMF Arquitetos for Nortis construction company and incorporator in São Paulo, Brazil, the renowned Brazilian office proposed an innovative format.

The design of the sales booth was created to function as an open square for the avenue, as well as the mixed-use building will also offer.
At the same time it works as a sales booth, it configures itself as an urban intervention of scaffolding, with loose white volumes composing an interesting and curious aesthetic result, which at night gains even more evidence with the dynamic lighting sequence proposed by the BijaRi studio.
The language of scaffold geometry used to create cropped volumes is directly related to the appearance of the building. “With the installation of the scaffolding, we wanted to show the connection of the ground with the street’s corner and create a free space in the core of the lot.
The structure of the scaffolding is also related to the vertical scale of this square, reproducing approximately the actual dimensions of the interior portion of the building, “says Lourenço Gimenes, partner of the FGMF.
It is worth noting that the scaffolding was chosen because it is related to the construction processes, more specifically the temporary ones, making it possible to conceive a quickly construction, easily dismountable and reusable.
The POD is located in an important avenue of the city, the Rebouças, in the district of Pinheiros. This region is going through a big transformation and greater density, from the revision of the Master Plan of the city of São Paulo, which completes 5 years in 2019.
The delivery of the POD is planned for 2021.
