Bruno Rossi Arquitetos at Hidden Architects exhibition in Seoul, South Korea

Bruno Rossi Arquitetos integrates a Brazilian team that will represent the country at the Hidden Architects exhibition in Seoul (South Korea)

São Paulo, 2021 – Bruno Rossi Arquitetos was selected to be a part of the team of professionals who will represent Brazil at the Hidden Architects exhibition that will take place this year in Seoul, South Korea. The curator of the brazilian projects for the exhibition is Elisabete França, also Secretary of Urbanism of São Paulo City and a brazilian teacher of architecture, that selected nine young architecture offices to participate.

The project that will represent Bruno Rossi ’s architecture office in the event is ‘Casa na Praia de Prumirim’, located in a brazilian beach near Atlantic Cost, and the exhibition will show photos and memorial contentes about the house. The project will be exposed in the Seoul Hall Space (https://www.seoulhour.kr/main/en/).

One of the materials asked by the commission responsible for the exhibition was a memorial about Korean architecture. The architect Bruno Rossi drew parallels with Brazilian architecture, such as the remains of colonization, the incorporation of imported modernity, the openness to major works by important names in the mainstream system of world architecture, and an incredible and extensive local and everyday production of works. That configure the country’s constructed reality, engaged with issues of the environment, materials, manufacturing and local communities.
