Design: Alexander Brown Architects: Beresford Estates approached the Alexander Brown to create a wine tasting venue that celebrated and showcased their wines. ABA created a building that is functional yet unique, simple yet interactive.
Design: BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group. New film – 360 degree VR experience, shot in 4K with commentary of the design from architect Bjarke Ingels. Recently awarded CTBUH Awards 2016 Best Tall Building Americas.
Design: Ramon Esteve, architects. The House in the Forest is set within a large pine forest. The aim of the proposal is the creation of different outdoor areas linked to the rooms inside, according to their level of privacy.
An International Jury Panel selects award-winning architect from Vietnam, Hoang Thuc Hao (1+1>2 International Architecture J.S.C), as the Laureate for the SIA-Getz Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia 2016.
Design: Chyutin Architects. The main entrance to the building includes an exhibition gallery facing the central garden courtyard. The entrance to the floor below is through the level of the central garden courtyard and includes a conference room, a lecture hall, a cafeteria and the upper level of the two-storey library.
Al Rayyan Stadium and Precinct are designed to showcase Qatar’s culture. The new, 40,000-seat stadium building is a venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
Design: Dr Margot Krasojevic architect. The design for a solar-powered, perpetual motion, hydrofoil Trimaran yacht, commissioned by HoldenManz wine estate, Cape Town. The trimaran has a folding wingsail for a better lift to drag ratio, the sail’s frame is constructed from carbon fibre.
Design: BFTA Mimarlik, architects. Located in Pendik, a rapidly-growing business district on the Asian side of Istanbul, this 60m tall tower building is on the edge of the oldest highway of the city, with 77 offices on 20 floors.
Design: Sheppard Robson, Architects. The £15.3m college building in Everton, Liverpool, is the first school delivered using an innovative design solution to create architecturally engaging schools on limited budgets.
Architects: Insula architettura e ingegneria srl. With the aim to read the space as a narrow yet polyhedric venue, Insula has created diverse and unique dining environment.
Design: Santiago Calatrava architect. The Science & Technology building will be the cornerstone of the new campus, and will establish the design scheme for all buildings within phase I of the campus master plan.
Design: Wingårdhs, architects. Krokslätt Factories is an industrial area south of Gothenburg that is registered as a cultural heritage site. The large brick textile factories are now being expanded with a new development in which the primary focus is on sustainability.
Design: [mavarq] Marco Velázquez ARQ. Located at Amanali Golf and Nautical club in the city of Tepeji del Rio, Hidalgo, a 45 minute drive from Mexico City. Two adjacent plots of 14 m length by 36 m depth each, with the back facing North. The site has a continuous slant of 4 m from front to back.
