Algeria is a Land of Light and in Astana Expo 2017 we tell her story in an immersive visitor journey. The narrative of a preshow-mainshow-postshow takes the visitor by the hand and uses light and media to narrate about the energy ambitions of the country.
Design: Fujiwara Architects. A mezzanine-floored residence consisting of a single-roomed space, located on a fan-shaped site. The movements of the sun can be felt inside the house all throughout the year. Light coming from the east strikes the louvered boards before entering the house and reaching deep into its interior.

Design: Uri Cohen Architects. This home was designed for a client who wished to build his home next to his farm. The property design combines some of the utilitarian images of local agriculture buildings focusing on the ‘beams’ construction of a ‘country home’.
