MRTN Architects’ client, Scott Pickett is a celebrated chef and restaurateur who, along with his partner Bec, wanted to create a home for their young family with three children where life revolved around the kitchen, preparing and sharing meals.

In Bryant Alsops Park Cottage the interior is unexpectedly spacious and light, compared to its darker Victorian origins and 1970s additions that are hidden. This helps create a sense of depth and journey into an otherwise relatively small house.
Designed by Bornstein Lyckefors arkitekter the House for a drummer is built for a single father of two with great interests in music, sailing and nature. The house is situated half an hour north of Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast at the edge of a vast farmland.
