LOCATION: Museum Gardens, Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9PA, England, United Kingdom next to the V&A Museum of Childhood.

THE PROPOSAL: The brief is to design a temporary, freestanding, transportable and contemporary showcase Pavilion to be installed in the Museum Gardens. The theme for the 2016 Triumph Pavilion is “Energy”, hence the Pavilion will be entitled “Energy Pavilion”. It is a theme that invites participants to create a unique space representing the author’s visual interpretation of energy through the form, thoughts, imagery or sensations generated by the Pavilion.

The Pavilion should provide a unique and inspirational space where visiting architects, designers, families or general public can stand, seat around to admire, share discussions about design or simply relax in the unique setting of the Gardens.

The architect or design team to be granted the honour of designing the 2016 Triumph Pavilion will be selected through a deliberation process by an internal selection panel. The winning design proposal will be one that is perceived to most satisfy the brief and is befitting of the Museum Gardens. The Pavilion design should also be inclusive, highlight and encourage the need for ecological and sustainable design principles where possible.Pavilion should not exceed 4 meters in height and 80 square meters in area.

BUILD / FABRICATION COMMENCING: 01st February 2016

CONSTRUCTION / FABRICATION COMPLETION: Completed and in place by 02nd June 2016

REALISATION: The winning project team may be assigned to or have to collaborate with an architectural office to further develop the construction drawings and prepare it for construction where the team lacks the experience. The Pavilion will be built / fabricated offsite and only assembled or placed in position in the Museum Gardens in accordance to the project schedule.

REGISTRATION: One Registration per Project Proposal and can be made using the online form provided on the ArchTriumph website. Each proposal is assigned a Unique Registration Number (URN). Participants or teams can register to submit more than one design proposal.

FEES: Every entrant shall be required to pay an entry fee as follows:
o Special Registration: $120 US from 13th April 00:00 (GMT) to 28th April 2015 23:59 (GMT)
o Early Registration: $200 US from 29th April 00:00 (GMT) to 22nd May 2015 23:59 (GMT)
o Standard Registration: $250 US from 23rd May 00:00 (GMT) to 30th July 2015 23:59 (GMT)
o Late Registration:$350 US from 31st July 00:00 (GMT) to 29th September 2015 23:59 (GMT)

Note: Fees are not refundable under any circumstance as stated in the terms and conditions.
All deadlines are 23:59 Hours (GMT)

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Applications to register and qualification for the various levels of Competition registration fees must arrive no later than 23.59 hours (GMT) on the date specified in the Timetable. Registration payments can be made to ArchTriumph by the following methods:
VISA Debit/Credit Card, Master Card, Maestro Card,Solo Switch Card, Electron Card, PayPal Account

ELIGIBILITY: Architects, Architecture graduates, Architecture students, Team of architects, Interdisciplinary teams (engineers, designers, urbanist, artist, landscape architects in-conjunction with an architect).

Submissions can be the work of an individual, practice or a group up to 4 members.
Registration and participation in the competition implies an immediate acceptance by entrants of all terms & conditions governing the site and competition.

RESTRICTION:Participants must be aged between 18 or over on date of registration for this competition.

SUMBMISSION DEADLINE: 29th September 2015 Closing Date for Proposal Submission.

PRIZES/ AWARDS: Winning proposal will receive the Honour of designing the ArchTriumph Showcase Triumph Pavilion with details of awards as follows:

1st Prize
o US$ 12,000 (Twelve Thousand US Dollars) budget towards the design and construction of the ArchTriumph Summer Showcase Triumph Pavilion 2016 to be installed in the Museum Gardens, Bethnal Green in London.
o Publication on Archtriumph website
o Publication in architecture magazines, ArchTriumph book series, various architecture websites and blogs
o Exhibited at the opening event for the Pavilion
o Exhibited during the month of the London Festival of Architecture

2nd, 3rd Places
o Publication on ArchTriumph website
o Publication in architecture magazines, ArchTriumph book series, various architecture websites and blogs
o Exhibited at the opening event for the Pavilion
