HP Skyline 2020 online design competition
ABOUT THE COMPETITION: HP SKYLINE 2020, the online design competition outlined fresh visual imaginations for the skyline discarding preconceived notions.
Initiated by HP & AEC WorldXP, the competition created a gateway to open up infinite latent possibilities, which can transform our city and alter the way future generations experience the city through the lens of its skyline.
Launched on 10th April 2010, it allowed students and professionals to partner and elucidate their visions and designs that would change the skyline thereby transforming the city itself.
The competition saw over 300 professional and students participate with their astounding perception on the skyline of the future.

The design reflects a very sociable and humane living, representing a new image of the future city with high density, however with loose clustering and circulation. This seems the ideal direction for changing the skyline, which is both culturally and ecologically sustainable. Variable elevations of different clusters promise an attainable proposal without a lot of demand on high technology.
