Biography:

Born in 1949, Francis SOLER graduated from the Paris-Villemin School of Architecture in 1976. He has been a member of the Ordre des Architectes de France since 1976 and has more than 33 years of experience.

Since 1973, he has participated and submitted projects to over a hundred architectural competitions, of which he was declared winner in the quarter of the cases. In 1985, he created a liberal structure, Francis SOLER architect, and in 1994, he created the joint-stock company Architectures Francis SOLER, of which he is the CEO.

It has about twenty buildings built, but it is undoubtedly the project of the Center of International Conferences of Paris which gained its celebrity and which opened a way for him projects designed on the narrow limit between the spaces of the architecture and art. This experience provided the agency with a structure enabling it to respond to any order of this size.

He was awarded the National Grand Prix of Architecture in 1990 and was appointed to the rank of Commander in the Arts and Letters Order in 2005, the day after the realization of the “Bons Enfants” building in Paris became then the seat of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, then to the rank of Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor, two later. His work and accomplishments have been recounted through various conferences around the world and numerous press articles at national level (AMC, Archis News, Intramuros, Le Moniteur, Beaux Arts, etc.) and international (Architectural Review, Archi +, Bauwelt, Arte and Construccion, AV …).
