TRIBE is a refreshing and disruptive brand, challenging the status quo with its edited hotel experience that makes it a leader in the design-led affordable luxury sector.

TRIBE Amsterdam North is due to complete in 2021 and will be one of first new TRIBE Hotels in Europe, marking the beginning of a series of new TRIBE hotels across Europe to be delivered over the next five years.

“We are absolutely delighted to be working on this project. We share such an affinity with the Tribe brand and philosophy and have developed a strong punchy aesthetic to go with it. TRIBE is a family, a group of like-minded individuals and we are all reflections of each other.” Feix&Merlin

“TRIBE is an amazing brand and proud to be involved with developing great projects like this! Working hand in hand with our dear partners WIN Hotels Group and interior designers Feix&Merlin Architects to bring this concept to life! It’s been a labour of love and the passion of all involved that has resulted in a truly unique design and experience for the guest. Its projects like this that remind you how great design can be with the right team, brand and creativity!” Arun Rana Accor Design Manager Northern Europe

“We can’t wait to launch the new TRIBE brand in the Netherlands. Our partnership with interior designers Feix&Merlin Architects and Accor will bring design and affordable luxury together and has a unique creative aesthetic. As a result, we hope to attract both business and leisure guests, as well as people from the surrounding neighbourhood. The location of both hotels is excellent and the area is rapidly developing. The project developers want to give the area a quality boost with the ‘Gare du Nord project’ and we hope that the arrival of our two new hotels will contribute to this.” Patrick Kerkhoven, COO WIN Hotels

Wharfingers Cottage for Urban Splash
This project is for an office for the Urban Splash (Midlands) Ltd. and their development team but also to provide a landmark Marketing Suite for the Walsall Waterfront development.
The East gable wall is such a prominent visible elevation that it seemed ideal for a large format installation signalling that the Cottage has been re-awakened and advertising the presence of the marketing suite. The architects proposed to drape the elevation with a three-dimensional artwork made up from four thousands rubber rods, that together create a pixelated version of the Urban Splash logo.

Since its creation in 2006, the architecture practice have consistently produced work that is magical and full of mystery.

“We try to keep an emphasis on work that is progressive, unusual and whimsical.”

“What’s unique about our approach is that we like to look backwards at the same time as looking forwards. In every project, at every scale, we look for what’s come before just as much as what’s about to come. We love to see if there are clues in the site or historical uses that can be woven into the project.”
