Private7 Villas, northwestern Turkey

The Private7 project in Ömerli, Istanbul, is a visionary residential development spanning a 4,000 m² area. This unique concept emphasizes the independent use of each villa while fostering a sense of a micro-neighborhood that integrates harmoniously with its surroundings. Seven luxurious villas and shared amenities have been thoughtfully arranged, carefully considering the site’s natural features, geometry, and varying elevations. The project’s approach balances individual privacy and communal interaction, creating a living environment that blends seamlessly with the area’s natural landscape.

Each villa boasts a distinct architectural identity shaped by the terrain, with building typologies adapted to suit the natural slope and elevation changes of the site. This approach introduces subtle variations to the façades, utilizing open spaces and strategic setbacks to create a harmonious yet diverse visual language. By adjusting the façade boundaries with thoughtfully placed open spaces, each villa offers unique perspectives and an elegant appearance that enhances its individuality while contributing to the project’s overall aesthetic.

Outdoor spaces are carefully landscaped, with lush gardens that provide a serene escape from Istanbul’s urban life. These green spaces enhance the sense of tranquility, offering residents private retreats where they can enjoy nature and relaxation. Meanwhile, sophisticated interior designs elevate each villa’s aesthetic appeal, focusing on comfort and elegance. Meticulously curated interiors reflect a modern sensibility, featuring high-quality materials, subtle textures, and refined finishes that come together in a cohesive and luxurious environment.

The large, expansive windows on the façades were specifically designed in response to local climatic conditions, the need for privacy between villas, and the flow of indoor-outdoor spaces. These windows allow ample natural light to flood the interiors, creating a bright and airy ambiance while maintaining a visual connection with the surrounding landscape. The choice of materials, combined with the loosening effect of wide openings, imparts a sense of lightness to the overall structure, bridging the outdoors with the interior living areas seamlessly.

Each villa’s garden feels like an extension of its interior, thanks to these extensive openings. The villas’ layout allows the ground floor’s fluidity to continue upward, with steel-structured staircases enhancing this flow between floors. Interior solutions are tailored to each space’s function, with carefully selected materials enhancing each volume’s purpose. Despite each room’s unique materiality, a consistent design language ensures harmony throughout each villa, creating a cohesive yet dynamic experience.
