A restrained building, beautifully reflected in an expansive pool. An old pine tree has been saved by architects Continuation Studio to command the courtyard, The project opens up through expansive glazing to the surrounding dense woodland and hills.
The SFA house is a refurbishment project. Architects Arqmov Workshop initially advised a new project, given previous unfortunate refurbishment work on the home, which was 30 years old. The property was stripped its original structure.
Design: DMDV arquitetos. In order to reduce the execution time, we opted to the use of a metallic structure, a solution that enabled greater spans, delivering the ground floor from structural interferences and allowing the “balances” that constitute protected interconnected spaces with the external gardens.
Design: Mark Aronson Architecture. Situated on a sloping site, the original building was split level with a double garage off the street and steps to a raised veranda. The `site is on a North-South alignment and is sheltered from the strong southwesterly gusts from the ocean.
Design: Ian Barker Gardens. The front garden is traditional in layout and contains bluestone paving and a soft, romantic perennial planting palette, perfectly complementing the architecture of the heritage house.

La Calma House is placed in a small town close to Barcelona. Its site is located in a forest area with a very steep slope and an abundance of pine, oak and olive trees.
Design: GM Architects with architect Andreas Vassilaros. Reconstruction of a private villa on this Cycladic island by Galal Mahmoud. The design studio focused on the exteriors of the residence, turning terraces into lively outdoors spaces but protected from the strong Mykonos wind.
Design: Budi Pradono Architects. This house is located in Selong Belanak. Southern part of central Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara. It is 30 minutes drive from Lombok International Airport of Praya.
Design: Luigi Rosselli Architects. Designed for an uncluttered and relaxed family life the house layout is very simple and quite cartesian in plan except for one sinuous wall overhanging the driveway.
Design: BORDE Arquitectos. The land clearly laid out 2 axes so we made 2 wings. In the ground floor there´s one wing with the kids bedrooms and in front of them is the second wing with the master bedroom and the tv room, they join in the front side and made the social area.
New house in Pucusana design by Arq. Martin Dulanto Sangalli, aimed to have minimum impact in the natural setting. The rocky tract of land was cut before the project was designed, the home lightly embedding into the setting.
Architectural firm, Nico van der Meulen Architects commissioned to design this home according to the owner’s specifications. The brief to the architect was to create a single-storey home with an urban feel.
Architects: Corpo Atelier. This house is largely a horizontal volume, containing a swimming pool, emerging from the walls to offer a possibility of volunteered exposure, for a brief moment, before returning to the house.
Design: Fran Silvestre Arquitectos. To optimize the vision of the landscape, a series of slender spaces are intertwined as they adapt to the descending topography. Each of these pieces is deposited half a floor below the previous one. This way, its alternating arrangement allows all the spaces to have a direct view over the beach.
Design: Frost*collective with Neeson Murcutt Architects. The redevelopment of the existing pool is part of a larger scheme that has seen enormous improvements to this area of the city and the experiences available to visitors, including the upgrade of the park and community facilities.
Design: Choeff Levy Fischman Architecture + Design – Villa Venetian, located on San Marco Island in Miami Beach, Florida, was purchased by it’s current owner from a developer who took all the modern details of the home and turned them classical.
