West Buckland School is one of the premier schools in the Southwest of England with an enrolment of 700 students ranging in age from five to seventeen.
This school appears to have since been renamed Rivers Academy West London, which became part of the Aspirations Academies Trust in August 2013.
This announcement follows a five-month design competition involving the City Council, its Academies sponsor, Oasis Community Learning, and two national construction firms. Carillion won the tender and secured preferred bidder status.
The School’s seven buildings house nine classrooms and a library on a sloping site. Unique settings for education have been created to occur within a mix of interior rooms, exterior teaching areas – some of which are covered by sloping roofs – and terraced play spaces for children.
