A spectacular sculptural object made of white concrete (SCC – self-compacting concrete). A building of an exceptional, timeless spaciousness. Family ceremonies and festivities take place with tranquillity and contemplation.
Design: John McAslan + Partners. One of the most striking elements of the scheme is the reconfigured internal volume, now named ‘The Light’, topped with a vast, dramatic roof-light, flooding the Meeting House with daylight.

Design: Dow Jones Architects – Wood Awards 2016 Building Shortlisted. This project redevelops the crypt at Christ Church Spitalfields, a Grade I listed building by Nicholas Hawksmoor, completed in 1729, and widely regarded as his masterpiece.
Anniversaries of two important, but still somewhat obscure Finnish Modernist architects: Timo Penttilä and Juha Leiviskä. Timo started off as “some kind of a prodigy of Finnish architecture”. Juha is one of just three architects awarded the Carlsberg prize.

Solar Chapel at the HoldenManz Wine Estate, Franschhoek, Cape Town. The project utilizes the same solar panel technology used on the farm to clad the expanding wedding chapel’s roof structure.
London-based architecture studio Waugh Thistleton has unveiled the final designs for Bushey Cemetery, a United Synagogue Burial Site. The development has recently started on site and today the practice has released images and a fly-through video of the updated scheme.
