USEK Student Housing, Lebanon, design by SE.Arch. The plot of land is located in the periphery, at the South-East of USEK campus. The project thus sets a new limit to the Southern part of the campus perimeter, that was ill-defined so far.
Architecture that does not interact with its surroundings and does not act as a foil for the existing features around it only does half the job. The basic principle behind the ‘House of Arts & Culture’ is provided by its site’s exceptional urban setting.

The principal factor in the design is the optimisation of views to the sea and harbour for all tenants. The orientation of the apartment tower is therefore set on the radial axis of the harbour.
