The manipulated perimeter block is clearly defined in its four corners but opened internally and along the sides. The vis-a-vis with the neighbour is eliminated by pushing the slab in its center, ensuring diagonal views to the vast open fields around.

Developed in response to an International competition by the City of Copenhagen, the brief invited entrants to set new standards for urban development. This is well worth a trip north from Copenhagen. We visited on a sunny Summer’s day and the setting is superb, art set in beautiful buildings in lovely grounds with a gorgeous view of the sea.
