The 2014 Football World Cup is held in many locations across Brazil. Since the decision was made to award Brazil with this prestigious event in 2007, work has been carried out to create venues suitable for such an occasion.

Design: Fernandes/Arquitetos Associados. The Arena Pernambuco, for sponsorship reasons called Itaipava Arena Pernambuco, was built to serve as the 2014 World Cup venue for the city of Recife. Construction of the stadium started in October 2010 and got completed in May 2013.
Design: GCP Architects. Arena Pantanal hosted it’s first official match between Mixto (MT) and Santos F.C., for the Brasil Cup first round. With design by GCP Architects, the new arena is gaining national and international prestige due to the concern over the legacy and the various eco-efficient solutions employed.

Inaugurated in 1965 as the second largest stadium in the world, the Mineirão Stadium is located close to Oscar Niemeyer’s and Burle Marx seminal works around the Pampulha lake. This building has been transformed into a major Brazil World Cup 2014 venue.
Design: Marcio Kogan Arquitetos. The site of the Osler House lies at the edge of Brasilia’s pilot plan, at the tip of one of Paranoá Lake estuaries. The house is a poetic commentary on modern architecture, above all on Brazilian modernism, starting from a contemporary re-reading of the building materials and techniques.

This building honors Brazilian architecture where you can find elements of the Bauhaus combined with the Brazilian modernism of Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa.
Inspired by the famous Farnsworth House by Mies Van der Rohe, the project explores four of the five points of modern architecture: open plan, pilotis, free facade and ribbon windows.

The site is located in Sousas, one of four districts from the city of Campinas-São Paulo, a place that keeps very peculiar characteristics, with provincial air, protected from Campinas high degree of industrialization even though being situated only 10 km from the busy downtown.
The building sits over the highest part of condo and overlooks Serra das Cabras southwest portion, the highest point of Campinas.

The Arena das Dunas in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, which will host four group stage matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, has been inaugurated by President Dilma Rousseff. The world’s leading sports architecture practice, Populous, designed Arena das Dunas including the landscape and masterplan of the surrounding areas.
Design: GCP Arquitetos. The unusual Arena’s bowl footprint, with four open corners, is the result of a design strategy allowing the solution of many issues, such as Arena capacity flexibility after 2014 Word-Cup and local environment.
This house is located in a residential area site close to the Paranoa Lake in Brasília. Searching the maximum integration for the social areas of the house we decided to put all the program under one big roof
