This project is the first commercial spin-off resulting from the collaborations on the 3D Print Canal House: an initiative of DUS architects and partners.
Architects: MVRDV – The Couch, a new club house for the young tennis club, which was founded in 2010 on a new artificial island in the east of Amsterdam. The roof of the 322m2 building is folded upwards and downwards to act as an informal spectator tribune for the club.

De Bazaar is the largest indoor market of Europe. Mihrab is a new shopping area within it, inspired by the kaleidoscopic folklore of the East.

The supperclub has found a new location in the Odeon building on the Singel. It offers a “complete harmony of food, drinks, lights and sound, merged into an atmosphere that offers an escape from the everyday world.”
Design: Standard Studio. Ons Dorp is a school building that got converted into different apartments. This particular one was designed for a family of five. The teacher’s lounge got remodeled into the bedrooms and the classroom into the living space
Design: NEXT architects. The most striking part of the bridge, designed by NEXT architects, is a massive arch which reaches a height of 12m above water level and stands in a continuous line with the Melkweg-road
The robust, aluminium façade structure combined with a contrasting warm and pleasant interior characterizes the new headquarters of engineering company Fluor. A spacious atrium connects all upper workplaces with each other

Located in the still bleak Bijlmermeer Neighbourhood – the vast area of mass social housing developed in the 1960s and 1970s to the south-east of Amsterdam.
Studioninedots and DELVA Landscape Architects present the dynamic masterplan Buiksloterham, commissioned by housing corporation de Alliantie. Through an innovative urban, landscape and social development plan, the former Nedcoat and Air Products sites in the harbour area of Buiksloterham will be regenerated in a sustainable way.
Exhibition design: ATELIER BRÜCKNER, Germany. The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) is presenting its extensive collection of maps and atlases in a new setting.
The exhibition, “The Atlases”, is being shown in the east wing of the museum, part of the ‘object galleries’, designed by architects ATELIER BRÜCKNER and opened in 2011.
Design: BenthemCrouwel Architects. The new levitated superstructure contains exhibition space, a restaurant, a shop and the new entrance. The new building, popularly called ‘the Bath Tub’, adds over 9,000 sqm to the historic museum building. This includes programme space as well as 3,400 sqm of exhibition space
