The University of Tasmania’s School of Medicine and the Menzies Research Institute bring together, in Medical Science 1, the aspiration to deliver leading edge world-class laboratories, clinical research and medical training facilities.
The project was undertaken in 2 stages. The main extension was undertaken with a registered builder, containing new living spaces. The design was a simple plywood box at the rear of the original house
The brief was to renovate the existing kitchen and bathrooms and improve access to natural light in the main living areas and integrate various ESD principles into the overall design.
