Design: Foster + Partners architects. New photos of the first new visible building on the estate since the Château and the existing cellars were completed 200 years ago: a large new winery building, a new Vinothèque, and the refurbishment of existing buildings and the historic Orangery.
Design: A + A R C H I T E C T U R E – new images of this building at the angle of two narrow streets. It shares its site with a nursing home: a rich intergenerational relationship in the middle of a beautiful garden and of chestnuts
Design: MVRDV with Mole Architects. The Barn is 30 m long, with a 15 m cantilever over a slope, plunging the house headlong into nature. Living Architecture – devoted to the experience of modern architecture – commissioned MVRDV in 2008. The Barn is now available for holiday rentals.
Design: Edge Design, architects. A high-rise, 46 storey luxurious tower building. The building canopy is designed as a metaphor for crashing waves on the beach, reflecting the rhythm of the Gulf and emphasises the height of the tower.
Design: Architecture Patrick Mauger. This major renovation transforms a 1980’s block into a Very High Energy Performance building of 15,900 sqm area. The buildings are opened out through the creation of a new shared garden.
Design: schmidt hammer lassen architects with SJ Arkitekter. This dynamic winning design aims to create a new benchmark for a sustainable and creative work environment. It includes a new 101m-high tower containing 18,000 sqm of highly flexible space for offices, restaurants, exhibitions and conferences. Ground and top floors will open to the public.
The new Zalando Headquarters building design by HENN groups two new buildings in the corporate campus in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The seven-storey buildings provide 42,000 sqm of office space for the largest European online supplier of shoes and fashion goods.
Design: Strom Architects. A house in the New Forest, designed as a two-storey replacement for a 1930s bungalow. The site sits amongst fields and woodland just outside the National Park, with a heavily-treed and well-established garden.
Design: Henri Cleinge, architect. Located in a bank building on rue St-Jacques, the design includes 12,000 sqft office area, a café and space for freelance workers and the public. Two distinct design challenges were forming boundaries between program functions and the context of a heritage building.
Design: Reiulf Ramstad Architects. This building is anchored in an innovative interpretation of nature’s fantastic dimensions and the dramatic experience of mountaineering. The design of the building is based on its function as a mountaineering center and gathering place for both locals and visitors.
Design: CEBRA architecture, architects with KPF. This school building design challenges the notion of architecture while at the same time reflecting the urban context. Some teaching can be performed outdoors in most weather. The pitched roof is the key architectural device.
New film of Fallingwater – the beautiful house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in rural Pennsylvania. The Modern home was built partly over a waterfall in the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains.
