RIBA Competition for a Major Mixed Use Development in the Town Centre of Maidenhead
Shortlisted architects unveiled: The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) invited design competition on behalf of Ryger Maidenhead Ltd/The London & Aberdeen Group with their long-term associates, Smedvig Eiendom AS of Norway.
A new and exclusive manufacturing technology, innovative solutions for our increasingly digital society, the fascination of translucency with advanced lighting and electronics systems. Take all these elements and combine them with high quality design and furnishing solutions and the result is “Corian® 2.0”, a design exhibition demonstrating the evolutionary capabilities of DuPont™ Corian®, which will take place during the 2014 Milan week of design.
Design: Colwyn Foulkes & Partners. Colwyn Foulkes & Partners have received planning consent from the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for a new luxury residence on Palace Green, London W8. Conscious of the architectural quality of the neighbouring Kensington Palace, the external façade will have classical detailing and use bespoke materials.
Design: Maxime Jacquet, This contemporary oasis located in Beverly Hills is the the vision of Maxime Jacquet. It is a modern space with the unexpected comfort of its high wood ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, rock work, and large art murals of legends like Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley.
EUR Architecture Competition. Italy
Escape the downtown Rome crowds and head off the beaten track to discover one of the city’s most infamous districts. The Esposizione Universale di Roma (better known by its acronym, EUR) was commissioned by Italian dictator Benedito Mussolini in the 1930s to showcase architecture that portrayed his fascist ideologies. Today, it is a thriving commercial suburb.
Benoy, international award-winning Architects, Masterplanners, Interior and Graphic Designers, has unveiled the design for Taiwan High Speed Rail’s (THSR) Hsin Chu Station Mall. Presented at the February contract signing for the scheme, Benoy has revealed a green architectural design that melds into the landscape of the site.

Commissioned by the buildings owner, the brief called for a unified interior de-sign throughout the common areas that included an upgrading of the main lobby, foyers, corridors and amenities. The 3 story high entrance hall spans approxi-mately 450 square meters to form the central reception, waiting and information area of the overall complex.

DuPont™ Corian® launches an international award for design creativity with dark colours
This international design award, called “Shape The Future Of Black”, is open to professionals and students in the fields of architecture, furnishing, interior design, industrial design, general design, decorative arts, engineering and similar disciplines.

IND [Inter.National.Design] + Powerhouse Company in collaboration with ABT have won the Çanakkale Antenna Tower International Competition, near the city of Çanakkale in western Turkey.

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the founding of the city of Karlsruhe in 2015, a temporary event pavilion will be erected in the city’s Schlosspark. During the festival summer, various concerts, theater performances, readings, film screenings, and exhibitions will be held in the open structure.
Grimshaw’s new terminal at Pulkovo International Airport is now officially open to the public. Grimshaw has worked in a team with Ramboll and Pascall + Watson to design the airport, based in St Petersburg, Russia
Design: Pitsou Kedem Architects. A frontal courtyard excavated to a depth of three meters and the second courtyard at the level of the building’s ground floor. This topographical interface creates a unique cross section to the building’s mass with each part of the building, even the section constructed as a basement, being open to its own courtyard.
