The Stedelijk Museum Collection and Dutch Design
Talk on Dutch design trends and the Stedelijk Museum collection on October 6, 6pm. The seminar will be given by Ingeborg de Roode, curator of Industrial Design at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
The chief curator of New York’s Museum of Arts and Design, David Revere McFadden, will introduce and moderate the presentation.
This talk marks the U.S debut of Models of Concern, a three-week program at the Trespa Design Centre, 62 Greene St., New York. The program explores the techniques, materials, and uses of scale models in architectural design process.

Featuring 30-plus models created by the Dutch design firm, Concern, this extraordinary exhibit originated at the Stedelijk Museum and was recently seen by 10,000 people at the Hong Kong Design Centre. The exhibit includes models newly renovated Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

The exhibition Models of Concern will be on view through October 25 at the Trespa Design Centre, in New York’s Soho. The installation explores the techniques, materials, and uses of scale models in the architectural design process, and will feature models of the newly renovated Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam created by the design firm Concern.
SEMINAR SERIES
A highlight of the program will be public talks by three experts on Dutch design trends and model-making, both physical and computer-based. Moderators include a top editor from Architectural Record and the curator of New York’s Museum of Art and Design
