Most extravagant new developments in Monaco
Monaco’s real estate evolution continues at pace, from its stunning Belle Epoque villas to its striking modern-day buildings. Monaco’s most recent new developments are set to become famous landmarks due to their striking design, the modern-day heirs to iconic buildings such as the famed Monte-Carlo casino. Here we look at some of Monaco’s most extravagant new developments that those seeking to reside in Monaco could shortly call home.
Mareterra Monaco is, without question, Monaco’s most extensive new development and is considered one of the most ambitious construction projects in Europe. This new mixed-use billion-dollar eco-district will consist of super-prime luxury apartments, penthouses, townhouses, and ultra-rare waterfront villas.
Scheduled for completion in 2025, Mareterra Monaco will also include a marina and several shops and restaurants, all set around stunning landscaped gardens. Mareterra has been designed by two award-winning architectural firms, Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Valode & Pistre Architects, offering a striking design that sets a new benchmark of architectural excellence in Monaco.
Testimonio II is a refined mixed-used development located in La Rousse Saint Roman from the same developer as Monaco’s iconic Tour Odeon. The development, which has an elegant undulating façade, will include luxury apartments, penthouses, five luxurious villas, a kindergarten, and nine levels of dedicated parking. It will also serve as the new premises of Monaco’s International School. Scheduled for completion in 2022, it is one of the principality’s largest construction projects. Designed by architect Alexandre Giraldi and led by the Marzocco Group, the sea-facing Testimonio II will offer refined living in the heart of Monaco.
Located in the tranquil district of Jardin Exotique, this elegant residential development is scheduled for completion in 2022. Perched high on the cliff edge with wonderful sea views, L’Exotique will offer elegant living at its finest. The development has been designed by award-winning architect Rudy Riccioti, the principal architect of the MUCEM museum in Marseille, France. Enveloped by lush tropical foliage and designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, the residences of L’Exotique are bathed in natural light and aim to encourage an outdoor Mediterranean lifestyle of peace and serenity.
Designed by Monaco architect Emmanuel Deverini, Villa Portofino is a refined development set in La Condamine, one of Monaco’s oldest districts. Set over 10 floors, this new Monaco development will offer 10 three-bedroom apartments, a voluminous penthouse, and a collection of three retail units. With an elegant Belle Epoque façade, this timeless development, scheduled for delivery in 2022, will appeal to those seeking prestige and authenticity coupled with the opportunity to live in one of Monaco’s most vibrant districts.
Marketed as a place where art, sustainability, innovation, and luxury become one, MoNa is the vision of the Michel Pastor Group, offering a collection of elegant residences and superb amenities. Designed by award-winning architects Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Rainier Boisson, along with a team of interior designers, engineers, and contemporary artists, the 22-storey MoNa will offer the best of modern luxury living. The building’s softly rounded façade and harmonious shapes have been designed to fit perfectly within the natural environment. In contrast, its luxurious interiors will be light and airy thanks to oversized panoramic windows. Located in the district of Saint Roman, MoNa is scheduled for completion in 2021.
With so many luxury new developments set for completion shortly, those seeking to invest in Monaco real estate are spoilt for choice.
