Chatsworth Gardens is a delightful new urban quarter laid out as a ladder of intimately scaled, tree lined streets and two new community gardens / parks.

At the busier streets and prominent corners at the edge of the scheme, buildings rise to three stories and non residential uses: perhaps a little local shop, some places for people to work, a deli, a café, a pub are added at street level. The accommodation above is a mixture of spectacular and roomy penthouse style maisonettes and delightful but inexpensive one bedroom starter apartments.

In Chatsworth Gardens, every home has its own front door and its own good sized piece of outdoor space in the form of a courtyard garden, a large roof terrace and/or a good sized balcony.

There are no large apartment buildings. Almost all dwellings are houses, cottages or maisonettes with direct and private street access.

Morecambe is a town on Morecambe Bay in Lancashire, England. In 2001, it had a population of 38,917.
The first use of the name ‘Morecambe’ in modern times was by Whittaker in his ‘History of Manchester’, published in 1771, when he refers to the æstury of Moricambe. It next appears 4 years later in ‘Antiquities of Furness’ where the bay is described as ‘the Bay of Morecambe’.
