Blanco is a fresh and revolutionary advertising company specializing in projects from varied fields. As the team started getting bigger, Blanco partnered with Roy David Architecture Studio to design their new 200 sqm office space located in the Electra Tower in the heart of Tel Aviv, Israel.
The initial challenge was focused on trying to create a dynamic workspace that will connect the various departments within the company. The concept of dynamicity birthed design plans that included a communal workstation in the center of the space.
This workstation serves as a visual barrier that dictates the motion throughout the space, as well as the way the various departments are arranged along the shell of the structure.
The design concept was developed and based upon the company’s core values which include transparency and collaboration; thus the space entails in it glass partitions that embody these values.
The office space is adorned with natural wood and a specific color palette, directly derived from the Blanco brand. The colors are eminent not only in the overall layout of the space, but can also be spotted in a small installation situated right at the entrance to the space. The installation reflects on the idea of growth, symbolized by the use of plants along the walls and ceiling, with a series of wooden strips that stem from the main reception desk.
The unique design used to create this office, is a reflection of the architects’ design agenda that among other things encourages the use of mineral materials, using the structures infrastructure and systems as decorative elements, and a constant search of the essence of a space and making it fit the Blanco company culture.
The final touch of the intervention was expressed as RDA collaborated with artist Ohad Benit. Using the brands’ main color, (red) the design team created a series of linear accents and greenery that make the space feel inspiring and different from any other advertising office.
