The most celebrated architect from the past are Iktinos and Kallikrates, architects of the Parthenon in Athens. Currently there is no one most notable architecture practice, though Point Supreme Architects tend to have a profile outside of Greece. Due to economic reasons the contemporary architecture in Greece is not very buoyant and many of the key buildings recently have been designed by outsiders – notably Tschumi, Piano and Calatrava.
