Design: The Purple Ink Studio. The structure is situated at a major city junction in a dense urban fabric. Design brief: A contemporary face-lift to an old structure so as to regenerate the landmark. The project was to be planned for quick and easy construction to enable running of all three screens for the forthcoming movie releases.
Design: Caroline Di Costa Architect and Iredale Pedersen Hook Architects: Conceptual Framework CASA31_4 Room House re-interprets the role of memory, tradition and social and cultural value in a rich spatial experience that is simultaneous familiar yet unfamiliar. The architecture preserves and reinterprets the past.
Design: Urban Salon. In 2003, The Architecture Foundation and Igloo Regeneration launched a competition to design the affordable housing for the Bermondsey Square development. The aspiration of the competition was to tackle the lack of affordable housing in London and generate new models of the desirable home.
Design: Iredale Pedersen Hook Architects: The Nannup Holiday house forms part of a wandering path through the landscape from Perth to Nannup. This path dialogues with the landscape of intense forest, meandering river and rolling hills, each experience is carefully choreographed to enrich the occupancy of the house.
Design: Herzog & de Meuron. The hospital is surrounded by nature and contains a garden in its center. The horizontality of the building and its undulating form responds to the location of the hospital in the midst of the wide Danish landscape
Brent Council has resolved to grant planning consent to UNITE, the UK’s leading developer and manager of student accommodation, for a c. 220,000 sqft student accommodation scheme on Olympic Way, adjacent to Wembley Stadium
The Eliza Apartments by Tony Owen Partners has just been completed in Sydney. Designed to be Sydney’s most prestigious and progressive address. We sought a building to fit within the historic context of the area yet was an unmistakeably contemporary and challenging design, combining classic 20th century style with parametric design tools to create a sustainable iconic CBD landmark.
The Collection Pavilion at Shanghai Auto Museum, Shanghai-Anting, China, a permanent exhibition about the milestones in automobile development from 1900 to 1975. ATELIER BRÜCKNER created a spacious room narrative representing an exclusive parking deck which displays 39 historical cars over 2300 square metres.
This modernist architecture design by Alfonso Architects combines new construction and renovation: a 25,000 sqft building forming a sanctuary, administrative offices and classrooms. Also, two existing single level buildings were renovated and the exterior space including lighting and landscape was redesigned. The architect states, “The challenge was to establish an intimate church campus by creating a new exterior courtyard that would act as a catalyst for community interaction and as the physical nexus joining new and existing buildings.”

A ground-breaking ceremony today marks a new chapter in the 150-year life of St. Jerome’s University at University of Waterloo. It also marks a new collaborative design process to realize a campus expansion project.

The University of Cambridge Department of Engineering was founded in 1875 and has a well-deserved reputation for academic creativity and rigour, attracting the best academics and students from around the world. In order to accommodate these activities the department badly needs additional research space on its already busy site.
Design: BIG. This building is a 420 ft tall mixed-use observation tower to serve as a symbol for the city of Phoenix, Arizona. Located in downtown Phoenix, the 70,000 sf Observation Tower shall add a significant structure to the Phoenix skyline from which to enjoy the city’s spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges and dramatic sunsets. Phoenix-based developer Novawest, commissioned the team to create a destination event to provide tourists and citizens of Phoenix alike the chance to enjoy the unique features of the Valley of the Sun.
Architect: Foster + Partners – part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the new Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas redefines the essence of an opera house for the twenty first century, breaking down barriers to make opera more accessible for a wider audience.
Responding to the Dallas climate, a generous solar canopy extends from the building, revealing below a fully glazed sixty foot high lobby. Beneath the canopy, a shaded pedestrian plaza creates a major new public space for the city.
