The Flat Roofed House, Little Frieth, Hambleden, Buckinghamshire, 2000. An example of the International style, it was built by Colin Lucas in 1934, using reinforced concrete which has been badly stained by the weather.
The property was designed for Mrs Margaret Sewell and her daughter Phillada in the then very modern reinforced concrete style more usually found in town buildings.

Amyas Douglas Connell (1901-80) was a New Zealand architect based in Britain.

Amyas established a partnership with his brother-in-law Basil Ward (New Zealand) and, later, Colin Lucas, to form the Connell, Ward Lucas architectural practice in 1933.

Award: Rome Prize in Architecture, 1926
