The site for the Gota Dam property lies in an estate on agricultural farmland in East Africa. The building is situated atop a granite rock overlooking the human-made Gota Dam. The area is, to say the least, breathtaking and awe-inspiring, and deserves a piece of architecture that renders homage to its setting and beauty.
The views and the drama of the granite cliff plunging into the dam are the inspiration for the concept, where the feeling of living within the rock is balanced with the 180-degree views to the East, North and West.
