Mansory Villa : Vienna Housing Design
New Vienna Residences, Austria design by Daneshgar Architects

Mansory Villa, Vienna
Location: Vienna, Austria
Design: Daneshgar Architects
The building plot for this house is located in 19th district of Vienna. The location for this proposed home is within a range of beautiful hills. The site is surrounded by world-famous traditional vineyards. The most costly Viennese private villas are located in this district. The reason for this is that the area is green and quiet. It is located away from urban noise and yet easily connected to the city center. This suburban plot also offers a unique view of Vienna and its most important landmarks.
This residential project consists of two separate villas that are designed for our client, Dr. Mansory and his daughter’s family. The property is intended to be used as an occasional residence mainly occupied during the summer months. Inspired by our client’s passion for Mansory cars, our design for the villas is derived from notions of speed and luxury. It is an exclusive residence, and at the time of writing obviously unbuilt.
Like many of the projects by this adventurous Austrian architecture practice it is futuristic. The house tries to push the boundaries of residential design. Unusually the highly expressive form is perched on a more sober rectilinear base. The warping and flowing design is reminiscent of projects by Zaha Hadid Architects (led by an Iraqi architect but with the design studio based in London). The building form is contorted, twisting volumes to create an eye-catching proposal. The residence is quite spacious and contains generous glazing to provide views in all directions.
