Design: LMN Architects. Initial design for an expansion and renovation to the Asian Art Museum in Seattle. As Seattle Art Museum’s original home located in the Olmsted-designed Volunteer Park, the building will get its first substantial renovation since it was completed in 1933.

Cliff House Washington Residence

Design: Scott Allen, Olson Sundberg Kunding Allen (OSKA) Architects. Tucked against the wall of a natural cliff and right on the water’s edge in Gig Harbor, Washington, this project answered the unique challenges of its site. The footprint for the new structure replaces an old guest house and boathouse, and was limited in its size by an agreement through a regulatory process.

Capitol Hill House – Seattle Residence

Design: SHED Architecture & Design. Our clients wanted an economical, efficient, low-maintenance house with ground floor living areas that extend out to comfortable outdoor spaces. The social family chef wanted the kitchen to occupy a central and commanding position in the house. Two kids rooms with a shared bath and a master suite on the upper floor and mechanical, storage, and media room in the basement round out the program.

Bezos Center for Innovation opens in Seattle

Design: Olson Kundig Architects. The Bezos Center for Innovation is now open at Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI). Generously supported by Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos, the Bezos Center for Innovation is a groundbreaking exhibition dedicated to the theme of innovation, featuring multimedia, interactive and hands-on experiences as well as artifacts, images and oral histories that explore Seattle’s creative history and ignite the innovator within.

Madrona House Seattle residence, WA

Design: CCS ARCHITECTURE. This house was designed as a second home for a Bay Area couple as a summer retreat to spend the warm summer months away from the fog in San Francisco. Built on a steep slope and a narrow lot, this 4000 square foot home is spread over 3 floors, with the master, guest and kids bedroom on the ground floor, and living spaces on the upper floor to take advantage of the views.
