e-architect showcase the Martins Bank renovation. This historic Grade II* listed building will house community-focused spaces, F&B and 140,000 sqft of offices. Developer Kinrise plans to create welcoming, publicly-accessible spaces within the spectacular former banking hall.

Liverpool Lime Street Station Redevelopment will be at the heart of a £340m spend upgrading the region’s rail network over the next three years. The renewal project will include the creation of two new platforms between the existing platforms seven and eight.

Copperas Hill Competition: former Royal Mail Centre in Merseyside design by BDP Architects: Liverpool John Moores University, LJMU building
Design: Carmody Groarke. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has announced a new partnership with Maggie’s, the charity that provides support for people living with cancer, to create a Maggie’s Centre on its main hospital site in the Wirral, Merseyside. The first of the seven portable buildings which make up the interim centre has been delivered to the hospital.
Ryder Architecture completes work on Liverpool Science Park’s Metropolitan Cathedral campus. Construction of the four storey £7m new wing of Innovation Centre 1 (ic1) started in March 2013 and has completed ahead of its 12 month schedule in February.
Design: NBBJ/HKS. Financial close has been reached on this £335 m project. The new hospital is for the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust. Work on site is due to start early in 2014, with completion scheduled for 2017. It will be the largest all single-bed hospital in the country with 646 beds, including a 40-bed Critical Care Unit, 18 operating theatres and one of the largest emergency departments in the Northwest.
