Pavilion for the Opera House in Copenhagen

With a new pavilion, the guests for the Opera House in Copenhagen and other visitors to Holmen will have a place of shelter while waiting by the water bus quay.

The Opera Pavilion is located at the quay just outside the Opera House in Copenhagen. The floating pavilion can accommodate 200 waiting persons, and the pavilion can be touched at by two water busses at the same time.

The new Bagsvaerd School in Denmark has been formed by amalgamating two local schools.

Split levels, double-height rooms and a high degree of transparency characterise the spacious complexity of this Danish education building, while the overall design and spaces have been well worked out with the finer details carefully considered in relation to colour, texture and materials.

The A.P. Møller Foundation has made a generous donation to securing the future of the Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art by adding new building facilities.
In 2014 it’s exactly a century after the building was moved to its current location at Østerport in Copenhagen and in November, the new part of one of Europe’s oldest artists’ houses will be completed and open to the public.

JDS Architects is pleased to announce the nomination of its project Kalvebod Waves for the Big Arne Award. The award is given to completed works and initiatives that have raised the architecture of the metropolitan Copenhagen area in the past year. Kalvebod Waves is nominated for the award because it contributes to reuniting the city of Copenhagen with its harbor.
