This is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the sixth-most populous city in the United States, with an estimated population of around 1,570,000 and more than 6 million in the seventh-largest metropolitan statistical area, as of 2016. Philadelphia is the economic and cultural anchor of the Delaware Valley—a region located in the Northeastern United States at the confluence of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers with 7.2 million people residing in the eighth-largest combined statistical area in the United States.

The Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care is the first healthcare building of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s new South Campus, according to Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. The curving, colorful exterior of this ambulatory care center establishes a distinctive image for the new campus while its light-filled, easy-to-navigate interior creates a welcoming environment for patients.
