The location is unusual – the Dutch town of Almere is not a place that has grown naturally but rather was planned on a drawing board, originating after the war as polder land reclaimed from the IJsselmeer Lake. The Masterplan for the new town centre was developed by Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture.

Side by Side: located on the border between the city centre and Weerwater lake, two residential towers strike a key note in the urban landscape of Almere centre. To bolster their landdmark character the facades have a deliberately abstract rendering in industrial glass.
The Urban Entertainment Centre in Almere comprises of 16,000sqm of new buildings containing shopping, pop concert hall, disco, hotel, bicycle park and associated leisure, cafe and restaurant facilities.

Renovation of the Generali building, Milan, close to the city’s historic trade fair area and dating back to the late 1950s, this office block was one of a number of service buildings designed by some of the most important architects of the day that were erected in a middle-class residential district which had developed on uniform lots after the Second World War.
This facility with 5340 square meters of office space is located in the district of BTC Ljubljana (the cities business, shopping, recreational and entertainment centre) at the edge of the former industrial complex with existing buildings characterized by large floor plans.
