This historic structure is a ruined 15th-century castle on the shore of Loch Fyne, within the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It was the stronghold of Clan MacLachlan until 1746 when it was attacked by British Government forces.
Developed in response to an International competition by the City of Copenhagen, the brief invited entrants to set new standards for urban development. Through the creation of land reclamation, the plan connects urban infrastructure, extends waterways and weaves open space into new residential neighbourhoods and commercial areas fit for urban life over the next 50 years.
The concept of the project is that instead of using 1/4 of the project’s budget, originally allocated by the client to cleaning the polluted soil of the site, we discovered that the pollution was heavy metals and therefore stable

This is well worth a trip north from Copenhagen. We visited on a sunny Summer’s day and the setting is superb, art set in beautiful buildings in lovely grounds with a gorgeous view of the sea.
