A new performing arts center by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects is scheduled to begin construction at Western Illinois University. Officials celebrated a ceremonial groundbreaking for the WIU Performing Arts Center on the Macomb campus.

Koukjian is a jewelry store in central Beirut. The existing site was long and narrow, so taking advantage of these conditions, the architects created on elongated central linear space. Reflecting the use of the space, a jewelry store, we wanted to create an interior space reminiscent of a jewelry box.
Taking into account a strong natural context, the project shows a wood skin drawing with a graphic pattern, composing a generous scale for a “building-sign”, real “Eco-museum” showcase.
An eventual architecture is proposed in the number 2 tinglado building with a respectful manner towards existing patrimony, without touching it.
